掲載した2機のF-18は殆ど同時に飛ぶことはありません。私なりに写真をアレンジしてバランス良く配置して描いた作品です。総制作時間は47時間。ボールペンのドッティング(点描)とカラーペンシルの組み合わせで構成されております。

These two F18 fighters usually don’t fly together but I put two of them together with a careful positioning in the same drawing. It is drawn with a ballpoint pen using dot technique, combined with colored pencils. It took me a total of 47 hours.

全てボールペンの作品です。特に鼻のシワに重点を置いて根気よく描き上げました。動物ですが、どこか機械的な造りに魅力を感じます。総制作時間90時間。

It is all drawn with a ballpoint pen. With a special focus on the wrinkles on the elephants’ trunks, I drew it dot by dot, taking long hours. They are animals but their somewhat machine-like looks intrigue me. It took me a total of 90 hours.

ドッティング(点描)技法画です。ノートの紙ラインが薄く見えるのがお分かりいただけるでしょう。ノートに描く理由は、塗り込みも点描も紙質を損なうのを如何に攻略するかに意義を感じるからです。

As you can see, the faint horizontal lines are visible in the drawing. Those lines are of the notebook. The notebook paper is vulnerable to dot and drawing techniques and it is difficult to draw on it without damaging the paper. The reason why I use notebooks for my artworks is because I find meaning in overcoming those difficulties.
